Carlisle residents deserve a Select Board that asks hard questions about where funds are allocated. Can we find smarter ways to deliver services without simply passing costs to tax payers? I have spent my career innovating and negotiating and I know where costs hide and how to reduce risk. I know where vendors overpromise and where money gets left on the table. I will bring that with me to the Select Board.
Good decisions happen with diversity of perspective, knowledge, experience, and curiosity. I come to you with all of those plus a love for Carlisle as the comfortable home that wraps us in its embrace every day. I also recognize where we can get "stuck" and that we need to grow together. I know how the Town works well and where improvements can still be made. I will listen carefully to residents and employees, analyze honestly, and make decisions that hold up to your expectations.
Carlisle's character is worth protecting and we all love the nature and farmland that surrounds us. As we struggled with how to respond to the MBTA Communities Act, we faced challenges that were hard and did our best at the time with the deadline for compliance looming over us, but it wasn't perfect and some of our neighbors bear the wounds from last year. Additionally (and while not necessarily the goal of the MBTA Communities Act), we still haven't solved the "missing middle." There are so many ideas and motivated people trying to find good options for us. I will approach this the same way I do any complex problem, with facts, respect, a willingness to engage honestly, and an open mind while keeping the things that make Carlisle special at the forefront.

I moved to Carlisle with my son in 2020. I have been involved formally and informally, always looking to make improvements for Carlisle's residents. My commitment to Carlisle would be reflected in my decisions as a member of the Select Board.

I served as Chair of the Carlisle Governance Task Force which has been shaping Carlisle's future since it produced a comprehensive in October 2022. The Report included recommendations, many of which have been used as guideposts over the past 4 years. My time on the Task Force prepared me for serving Carlisle in the capacity of Select Board member. I learned many of the ins and outs of Town functions, structure, relationships, and inter-department dependencies. I have demonstrated the ability to collaborate with Carlisle community members as Task Force members came to the table with a variety of ideas, backgrounds, styles, and philosophies. The full Report is available via the Town website. I hope to continue with unfinished business outlined there. I'm committed to transparency, teamwork and advancing Town initiatives.

The Task Force recommendation around technology requires additional work. In the world of advances that range from environmental improvements like alternative power and battery storage to cloud-based services and AI, our community like others faces the challenge of striking a balance between economics, ethics, and advancement. I bring the relevant experience and insight to leverage on behalf of Carlisle as we take on these challenges. We need a technology roadmap, an advisory committee, and a periodic assessment.

I'm a mom to an active, hilarious, and kind 10 year old. If you're a parent in Carlisle, we may have crossed paths at the Castle, on the soccer fields, at school drop-off, or in Town Center where you may know me as one of the Halloween Candy Elves collecting and delivering candy to Center homes.
In my professional life, I'm an attorney who has spent most of my career at a multibillion-dollar company negotiating complex business contracts across technology infrastructure, large-scale commercial construction, power and utilities, networking and security agreements, and providing general business strategy advice. I know how to read into the minutia, spot the risk, ask the right questions, and move things forward. This is the background I offer to Carlisle.
I also serve as a founding member and sit on the Steering Committee of Concord-Carlisle Against Antisemitism. Individually and in that capacity, I actively work with members of our school community in Carlisle and at CCHS to improve the experiences of all of our children as well as work on programming to create human connections in our community. As part of these efforts, I am currently working with Concord-Carlisle Human Rights Council and coordinating with DEICAC to bring an anti-bullying program to our 8th graders.
I am asking for your vote and would be honored to represent you. I will listen, be thoughtful, be open-minded and be honest even when the truth is hard. Carlisle deserves nothing less than these commitments: I make them here to you.
